Heartwarming small stories in Tokyo
28 January 2020
This is a film directed by a rising young director Rikiya Imaizumi starring Kei Tanaka, the actor who recently got his big break after 20 years of his acting career.

This film depicts small one-sided love stories that develop around a single florist Natsume (Kei Tanaka) through his daily interactions with customers including a long-term friend ramen shop owner Kiho (Sae Okazaki).

There are no shocking or surprising event that happens for love to develop in the story. The director Imaizumi, who also wrote the screenplay, reminds us how people develop feelings towards someone through subtle interactions and heartwarming moments in daily life, and most of these feelings fade without anyone knowing. This film might make you feel that you want to tell someone important in your life, that they are important to you.

After watching this movie at a theater in Tokyo, it took me a long time before leaving the seat because I wanted to give myself time to sink-in and enjoy the positive and warm feelings that this movie had given me.

I highly recommend watching this.
