-because it really is a masterpiece. When my friend told me in 2014 that Yoko Kanno worked on another anime's soundtrack, I ran home as fast as I could to check the anime out and DAMN was it worth it.. To this day I still feel the same as I did when I first watched it 6-ish years ago. The quality, the music, the graphics, the story telling, the pacing, the drama, the cliff-hangers, everything is there. I got super attached to the characters, even the ones I disliked story-wise. I'm pretty sure it'll continue to be my favorite anime of all time, and the one that automatically comes to mind when someone asks for an anime recommendation.
