Overall not a bad season. Olivia Coleman does a decent job of sounding like the Queen despite not looking anything like her. Decent performances from the cast. The stronger episodes were Charles's investiture and Alberfan.
This season seemed steady but I felt there were no over the top moments. When things are historical that people can easily read up on I feel a show needs to go beyond and show angles we didn't expect. Claire Foy to me is still the definitive Queen. Coleman has been decent but not filled her big shoes. Helena Bon Carter felt underused this season besides her acting abilities. Compared to previous seasons this season was somewhat underwhelming. I still rate it high and will eagerly await season 4 but had expected more.
