I am not a big fan of either of the lead actors but both where fabulous in this trip through a painful legal divorce battle. The supporting cast from Liotta to Dern where perfect and I was trilled to see Julie Hagerty in a nice size role as her mother.
Anyone who has been through the process especially when a small child is involved can feel their pain while clearly understanding that they still love each other. Sometime Life's choices don't work out because both want things to go in different directions. The movie never rushes through important scenes and left me wishing there would be more to tell about this relationship in the future.
