No Good Nick doesn't know if it wants to be a drama or a sitcom, and ends up being neither. The drama feels plastic and the jokes are either extremly low-key or simply not funny.
I was hoping that they would clear things up in season two, but it actually got worse. Makes me feel sorry for the actors, especially Lauren Lindsey Donzis and Sean Astin, who are trying hard to make the best out of the terrible script.
