In the A plot: Lisa has been watching French films. In French. And sets out to be a like a character in such. Trying to make life better for folks.
This is done with touches a la a French film of that kind. With a certain style of cinematography. French style music. And a narrator with a French accent.
And it's delightful. There's a real joie de vivre, to coin a phrase, to these moments. The narrator is funny. The music is great.
In the B plot: Marge tries to sell Tubberware. Only succeeds as people think she's a drag queen. And gets into the Springfield circuit of such. A homer marge plotline follows of the kind we have seen so many times. But there's great support with the guest characters to this one. And a wonderful musical number. Thus even the predictable reset moment actually works rather well and is nice.
An episode that like the best Pixar movies, leaves you with a spring in your step and a smile on your face. That feeling they call joy.
