I am old enough to have (and I have) watch every episode of the original One Day at a Time, so at first I thought "oh this is just a remake and usually remakes are just blah!". Especially when you've got the original swimming around in your head from back when you were growing up.... but I came home from shopping and hubby had the controller and put this on.
Well, I'm very happy to say that changed my mind about this show!! I'm very excited now to watch this show as it is not as much a remake of the original, as they deal with current issues, and other things but at the same time it is all still very funny as was the original show at the time - my opinion. I love the start of the show with Rita Moreno and her breakfast routine. I also love the comedy and all the different music and the different ways they deal with the different issues that come up It is all relatable to current affairs in the schools as well as in the world today. So even though it deals with some serious stuff it is also very enjoyable, funny, some of it steals your heart, makes you cry. It is also relatable to everyone as it deals with things that happen to someone you or I would know or it may have happened to you. It shows the strength of family, and well.. for the rest, you'll have to watch the show..
