I put off watching this film until I had nothing else to watch due to the negative reviews, but after I watched it, I was shocked at all the hate!
Everyone dissing it because it's a remake - so what??? There are tons of 'multiple' remakes. Then complaints about the language, bad humor, even throwing the racist card - wow. Y'all need to chill out and learn how to be entertained - just like the good ole days. And this film was just that - good old entertainment!
I had a permanent grin and laughed throughout the entire film. The humor was timed great and on point. The directing was great. The length and pacing were perfect. The casting was outstanding - every role, especially Taraji P. Henson and Tracy Morgan who played their characters perfectly. Even the cameos from Mark Cuban and Shaq where awesome.
It takes some serious hate to rate a film of this caliber with all these 1, 2 & 3's. Like I said, y'all need to chill out and take some happy pills because this film was great! And if anyone thinks this review is fake, click on my profile and you will see my almost 1000 ratings and just under 600 reviews. If anyone is considering seeing this entertaining and funny film, ignore the haters and watch it, you will enjoy it, I promise you that! I know I will watch it again with friends and family. A well deserved 9/10 from me!
