I am surprised by so many people who have a real downer on The Sensorites. The first two episodes thus far, I have really enjoyed. This second part continues to build the mystery, with The Sensorites providing a very different, original threat. It is a little on the slow side, but it does have a sense of menace, internally from John, externally from the bearded duo.
Hartnell is very strong, I found his performance very commanding, I also loved Carole Anne Ford, Susan's character was so interesting here, still the slightly odd girl from the first episode, not the screaming child she developed into.
Really enjoyed this one. 8/10
