Kudos to RAGE OF THE MUMMY for being the first mummy film I've seen that was made on an indie budget; a shame, then, that it's no good at all. Quirky character work is the order of the day here in the story of some tomb robbers getting more than they bargained for when they rouse the ire of an ancient vengeful mummy. It's exaggerated and silly, fuelled by effects work that's simply awful.
