Midge follows her father to Paris, hoping to get her mother (who left because she felt unappreciated) back home. Tony Shaloub is fabulous. He is a wife's worst nightmare but he is a wonderful combination of cantankerous and out to lunch. There are great scenes, especially at a restaurant they go to. Meanwhile, Susie is abducted by a couple of thugs. They are going to beat her up, but find out she is from their neighborhood and end up taking her home for dinner. So, what about the standup? Midge ends up in a bar featuring drag queens and ends up doing an impromptu act, using an American woman as a translator (since she doesn't speak French). I thought it was great.
