Warning: Spoilers
"Endlich Sex!", which means literallly translated "Finally Sex!" is a German television movie from 2004, so it is almost 15 years old. It runs for a bit over 90 minutes and the director is Klaus Knoesel known from the likes of legendary stuff like "Unter Uns" and "Verbotene Liebe". If you know a bit about German television, this is self explanatory. But yeah, you cannot blame him for how badly this one here turned out. The ones who are mostly to blame are the writers and, if at all, then their bodies of work are only minimally better than Knoesel's. What a mess this film turned into. unbelievable. There is some great suspense here as we follow the character of Saskia through puberty and school life on her desperate path to finally lose her virginity. Yep. Said suspense is really all about which scene in the end would be the worst. Well, decide for yourself there's more than a dozen contenders. I will spare you most of them to not cause you any more pain. You have suffered enough if you sat through this movie. One scene would be a quote actually when they talk about a love interest and the reason why they cannot be with him is... because he has a manager! Oh okay. Bad luck. You have a manager. You cannot have a relationship. I see. More scenes: the boy who gets all wet seeing the protagonist in a bra. The way in which the central male character effortlessly stops his concert to follow the woman of his dreams. The gay boy whose father is strongly homophobic and from one second to the next does not even mind anymore. Why? Because our wonderful Saskia said 3 or 4 words to him. The fact how Saskia all of a sudden ends up in bed not just with another guy, but with another guy and girl. The permanent inclusions of women randomly commenting on sex, also oral sometimes, yeah that's what these ladies do. Yeah it is as ridiculous as it gets too if it was only imaginary. Or very early on these women commenting on how they lost their virginity. Man... the cringe. The main character turning into a needy highly promiscuous woman who wants sex with annybody the longer the film goes. I mean I mentioned that boy before, so yeah well she never, not in a million years, would have given him her virginity in reality. But yeah here she just goes for it desperate to lose it, so she can tell her aspiring pop singer classmate that she is no longer a virgin anymore. Oh yeah of course the boy is breaking through with his music at the same time. Nothing in here makes sense and everybody should be ashamed to be part of this movie. It is lowest quality even for a soap opera movie, a film that makes the likes of Axel Stein look like acting geniuses. Yes there are some really bad performances in here too, cringeworthy to watch and I guess that is the only reason why lead actress Schwiers looks mediocre sometimes because almost everybody else was this bad. What else can I say. A definite contender for worst German film from trhe 2000s. This one has it all. or nothing I might say. Chemistry is non-existent as well. Gil Ofarim, singer and son of the late Abi, plays the love interest and luckily he stopped acting pretty quickly afterwards. I remember he was a big teen crush back then. That was certainly the only reason he was cast next to his tolerable voice I assume. But acting-wise no comment. Fits in with basically the rest of the cast. stay far far away from this film. By the way I alo think the ridiculous ways in which it makes statements on homosexuality and virginity are shameful and I am certain that they hurt many teenagers back then more than they helped them. There is no sensitivity. No reason. No encouragement. It is a joke and not a good one. protect your kids from this film, not just because of the horrible quality of the key story and also each and every sub-plot. Disgusting.
