I find it increasingly annoying that people feel they can review a series with only watching 1 or 2 episodes, or the man who reviewed after watching a few bits due to his wife having it on.
'Oh Harry is one dimensional and has no personality' the guy is seriously depressed because the person he loved which he knew was wrong and never acted on disappeared for 33 years, then they find her dead in his garden he is accused of her murder. He never even wrote the book he was seriously famous for and felt guilty about it for 30 years. What did you want him do...a song and dance in the middle?
The series had me gripped and I watched it all in 2 evenings, the makeup is not great I'll give the bad reviewers that, but if you cant see past that then I suggest you dont watch anything made before 1990!
Great story told exceedingly well considering the amount of flashbacks. Often series can get confusing when there are a lot of flashbacks and forwards but this was so well done.
If not for some of the lack of character development I would give this a 10, but for one series of 10 episodes there is only so much development you can do.
