4/10
Pretty mediocre from every perspective

"Lego Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape" is a mini-series from 2016 and well the title really explains well what all this is about. It is basically 5 episodes all between 4.5 and 6 minutes, the final one being the longest, and it takes us I would say back into the world of dinosaurs, but no it takes dinosaurs into today's world, that's the correct description. You can watch the entire thing here in under half an hour. And of course it is animated Lego style, which may have been the main reason why I did not enjoy it that much overall. I am just not a fan of this visual aspect in general, also in other well-received projects. So if you like it more than I do and if you like Jurassic Park, the new films rather than the old ones, I mean those starring Parks&Rec's Chris Pratt, then this is for you. I liked him quite a lot on the TV show, but he is really getting overexposed now for quite a while leading 2 big franchises. Anyway, back to this one here, the voice castg isn't too shabby: The likes of BDH, Johnson, Wong and Levi are easily identifiable and have some reccogniton value too. The stories include humans fighting dinosaurs, chasing them, running from them, dressing up as dinosaurs, feeding dinosaurs, performing medical experiments on dinosaurs and a lot more like sitting on the backs of flying dinosaurs etc. And I never felt it was really muich about anything else than the comedy, especially not about drama, maybe a bit more about adventure instead. So yeah, I think you can decide for yourself if you want to check this out. I personally give it a thumbs-down, but this is a very subjective judgment like I explained earlier, voice acting is maybe the stronges suite here and the ending implies that there could be a sequel. Would not be surprising given the recent successful wave of Lego animation style films. That's all folks.
