Whenever Tom Cavanagh directs an episode, you know that it is gonna be great. The last two episodes he directed, 03x19 and 04x04, were some of the best episodes of their respective seasons. This episode proved that if anybody deserves a seat in the director's seat, it's Tom Cavanagh.
This episode brought back the old-school Flash feelings that I haven't felt since Season 3. And I'm not just saying that because they brought back the old villains. Seeing Barry and Nora working together gave me memories of Barry, Cisco, and Caitlin working on the show. No Iris, Ralph, or 4 copies of Wells. Just Barry, Cisco, and Caitlin. If they can bring back that dynamic, this could be the best season since Season 2.
AND THAT ENDING THO. I'm not gonna spoil it, but I don't think I've seen a better cliffhanger in years. Once again, the best episode of the Flash in a long time. If they can keep that Vibe (pun very much intended) for the rest of the season, this could be the best season of the Flash in a long time.
