Of course, with ten episodes to go, we know that Jack's ordeal isn't over. Also, the two women, out of the compound, are still in serious danger. The bad guys have gone to Plan B and this brings the Senator's life back into danger. Jack is in custody and no one is listening to him. He provides crucial information, but they are really only worried about image. The CTU is being run be Chappelle, who at first appearance looks like another bureaucrat. Time will tell (no pun intended).
