The story was nothing original, but it was sufficient to make this into a decent action-thriller. But the insane amounts of totally unnecessary and completely absurd stunts turned this movie into total garbage.
Just because Akshay is known for his stunts does not mean that the filmmakers have to cram every ridiculous stunt that they can think of into the movie. The final chase scene is cringeworthy.
The acting by pretty much everyone is either sub-par or outright bad. Akshay is the only one who does a good job in his negative role. But even then he tends to sway more into comedy than villainy. The "good Akshay" is overly good, to the point of being annoying. He talks and behaves like some overly-saintly mythological hero.
