Feeling About beautifully broken
2 September 2018
Having been to Rwanda and knowing a little history about the Hutu's , Tutsi's and the genocide, I felt a lot of this movie very deeply. The betrayal , sadness , hope ,abuse , brokenness and forgiveness in this movie was done so vividly that one would become , as I did, quite emotional while watching it. The movie depicted a lot of things too numerous to share in this brief post but the hope in humanity and the unlikely people that it came from was refreshing. In each of the families you see what really is important to them regardless of their circumstances . It is family . It doesn't matter if you're a refugee fleeing genocide or or wealthy man living in suburban Nashville. The most beautiful part of it all is the parallel between our brokenness as a result of sin and God's forgiveness to us through Jesus. I do believe you would thoroughly enjoy this. One of my favorite movies this year.
