Do I have to emphasise that you have to suspend your disbelief? We have animated animals (CG) mixed up with real actors. Now do not go around looking for depth in this. It's a kids movie, you have a setup, you have two groups fighting over Rose Byrne (who can blame them? Exactly) and you have a lesson that can be learned at the end.
