A perfect slow burn, chilling Gothic atmosphere, and Amy Adams gave the best performance for a hard-boiled and damaged character since Casey Afleck's in Manchester By the Sea. There were a lot of haunting and torturing memories that I didn't need because I think Adams reactions were enough to give Camille a lot of depth. Nevertheless, some of these memories seem to have some important clues.
