A regal princess
11 February 2018
Dana Wynter not only guest stars in this Wagon Train story, but she wrote the original story. In this the British born Wynter plays a most regal Indian princess who falls for Terry Wilson. There are some similarities in the relationship to that of James Stewart and Debra Paget in Broken Arrow.

She's the daughter of a recently deceased chief who is being cremated. As per the custom some hides are to be burned along with the corpse, but some white thieves steal them. Poor Bill Hawks is captured and wounded when the Indians think he's one of the thieves.

But the two take one look at each other and decide this is true love. That does not sit well with George Keymas the brave who had been courting her.

They never do mention what tribe this is. I think that's because there is no Indian tribe that had female rulers. It was a most patriarchal society.

That being said what a great pair of starcrossed lovers Dana Wynter and Terry Wilson make.
