I guess I must be pretty spoiled from frequently watching Looney Tunes from animation's "golden years" (1940s-1950s) - 'Cause I found that seeing something like "Super Mario" (from 1990) left me with the feeling of being thoroughly cheated by this show's totally inferior animation and dissatisfying entertainment-value.
It sure seemed to me that the irksome eccentricity of the characters in this particular animated series all came across as being completely annoying and absolutely forgettable.
While - On the other hand - I have found that the whole "Looney Tunes" cast (even 60 year later) still endure and remain amusing and memorable (except, of course, for the Roadrunner).
All-in-all - I strongly wish that Super Mario (and all the rest of the dimwit gang) had just been left as video game characters.
