Groundhog Day Party
24 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This is a pleasant little movie, amusing and light. Eliza wants revenge on the former roomies whom she blames for screwing up her life. Now, 10 years later, she has the magical powers to make the revenge happen at a party that no one can leave.

The best part of the movie is the Groundhog Day aspect. Eliza wants the party to turn out exactly as she imagined it, and no matter how often she tries, it keeps going more and more wrong. (She can turn back time and try again.) The weakest part is that the grand comic climax of errors is very unconvincing, and the pat resolution was equally lame.

The lead actress does a good job getting us to sympathize despite her character being rather crazed and unpleasant. Overall, it is a fun ride. Give it a try.
