After being defeated by King Ecbert, King Horit and his son flee to Kattegat seeking revenge. He asks Ragnar to invite Jarl Borg to team-up with them since he has ships and warriors despite of what he did to Ragnar's family. Rollo travels to Gotland to negotiate with Jarl Borg that accepts the offer. Jarl Borg comes to Kattegat and is surprised by Ragnar's attitude. Meanwhile Athelstan becomes close to King Ecbert that confides some secrets to him. Lagertha returns to her husband that humiliates her in public but she resolves her situation with him.
"Unforgiven" is an unforgettable episode of "Vikings". The invitation of Ragnar to Jarl Borg is deceptive but the conclusion is top-notch. Athelstan's religious conflict is interesting and his relationship with King Ecbert seems to be real. Lagertha is an amazing character and her reacting to the aggression of her husband is fantastic. My vote is eight.
