Glitch (II) (2015)
6/10
A movie with great potential ruined by one character mistake

The movie has a great story idea and awesome actors. But I still can't rate it higher because the one problem with the movie is so big that it kind of kills the most of it.

This problem is that the character of Keith makes it impossible to root for Sophie and Will. He is an awesome guy, who is helping his friends out without real gain for himself. He is kind, nice to everyone, smart etc. So seeing his girlfriend of three years and the friend his is helping to turning against him is just sad.

Of course, it happens that love comes when you don't expect and good people get hurt. It happens all the time. It wouldn't be bad if they would have made a movie on it. But they tried an easy way out which totally failed by presenting Keith as a douchebag at the end. It was pathetic and didn't work out. Sorry, I can't think bad of this guy because he thinks that a job at a coffee place is not comparable to a lawyer career and job in Hong Kong. I don't see it as him being a bad guy or as a reason to leave him. So in the end it just came off as a movie about a nice guy being stabbed in the back.

Other than that I think the characters were written well, I liked the dialogues and the acting was great. I think the whole movie would have ended up much better if it wasn't a romance but a story about them trying to win against a corporation.
