The House Sitter (2007 TV Movie)
5/10
It was good if it didn't have Tori

Warning: Spoilers
A frustrated artist finds a job in a New England mansion as a house sitter to retreat and paint. The owner's a nerdy coin collector who wants to marry her, so does his brother, a handsome plumber played by Tori's future husband Dean McDermott (no secret since Tori even uses his last name in the film credits) but an evil secret is in their past which will put Elyse's life on the line. It sounds like a good premise for a Lifetime movie chiller, only one thing is wrong: Tori Spelling. Her face lift is magnified with heavy makeup and dark eye shadow showing in frequent closeups. Being a TV movie, it especially suffers badly on small TVs. The suspenseful ending was the only portion where we finally lost track of miss puffy face showing her inner thoughts and motives a few minutes in every slow draggy scene. Absurd actions also draw suspense out such as trying a phone we're told doesn't work when she could take a few steps to escape through the front door. Also, her friends arrive in a car to help, but they stay in the creepy house instead of driving home. Why?
