This Is Us audiences have been wanting to find out how Jack Pearson dies since very early on in the season when we found out he had passed away and Rebecca was now married to Miguel. We've all been itching for that episode. We've all been wanting to know what happened. Here in the past few episodes, it's been teased that we may find out in the season finale. Even in the most recent episode, Kate hints to us by telling Toby that she feels responsible for why he died, so it was natural for us to expect we may find out in the finale. Not so fast! I'm not going to butcher this episode's rating because there were still a couple powerful scenes between Jack and Rebecca, but I don't think it's quite what we were all hoping for.
