The King and I
28 February 2017
Is Richie a friend to his partners or is he just duplicitous? The record company does not have enough cash for the payroll. To raise cash Richie and Zak fly to LA to sell the company jet to a rival record producer.

The journey allows Zak and the supposedly sober Richie have a heart to heart. Zak knows Richie always screws everybody over but tags along to make sure Richie comes home with the money.

At a beachfront party they hear Elvis might be up for grabs and head to Las Vegas to talk to Colonel Parker and watch Elvis perform. Zak is horrified with a fat guy on stage crooning about lettuce. Richie later tries to get Elvis to sign with American Century.

Zak has a threesome with some girls he met in the casino but later wakes up to find that the money they got for the plane is missing. Richie takes the loss rather well, maybe a bit too well. Then again a sober Richie had an idea that his number might come up in roulette.

This one was a nice intimate story mainly focussing on Richie and Zak and it worked well in a bittersweet way. Shame the lookalike Elvis did not look too much like the King.
