Decent rare low budget b-western!
9 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Are movie starts as a band of Mexican soldiers led by the evil Captain Jesus Escabedo (Everett Sifuentes) enter into a small town and wreck the place including the bar were they kill the bartender and murder the local girl Rose (the bar girl from the first movie this time played by Suzie Humphreys), and kidnap Tenspot (Robert Magruder), but before she dies she tells Chato (Rafael Campos) to go get Josey Wales (Michael Parks) and tell him what has happened, he does and soon the two embark on a journey to rescue the kidnapped Tenspot and stop the evil Escabedo.

I had known that this low budget sequel to the Clint Eastwood classic had existed for quite some time but had never been able to find it. The only thing I could ever find was the original 1987 VHS release from Magnum Entertainment on Amazon which runs rather high in cost, and a nearly 3 minute scene were Chato goes to find Josey on youtube. This movie seems to be very obscure with mostly nothing being available about it on the internet, even tho I did manage to find a unfavorable review on it that TV Guide had done. Then someone finally uploaded the full film to youtube to watch. The movie itself is a decent b western which has the usual stock plots and characters. The acting ranges as usual from good to bad, the main characters do a good job including Parks who while isn't Clint Eastwood still plays the part with a nice dose of cool, he also isn't bad behind the camera either. The worst part of the movie however is its wide range of technical issues including murky photography which is terrible during scenes shot at night, but, during daytime shots isn't bad, and what seems to be natural dialogue style which in most cases comes off as mumbling, which is the biggest problem with a lot of the supporting cast, you know the usual issues found with these types of movies. Can it be compared with the original no of course not, but, it is a decent b western with some nice action pieces, a good title song, and the bad guys comeuppance at the end is nice. Plus, I've seen far far worst in the realm of low budget b westerns. While the movie probably isn't in the public domain, its perfect for someone like Mills Creek Entertainment to put in there low budget b western movie sets.
