Hearing that familiar clock tick in the beginning brought back waves of nostalgia. The pilot for this series of 24 is off to a good start. It will still have to be seen how the characters are going to develop over the course of the coming episodes. It's really hard trying not to compare/contrast Corey Hawkins with Kiefer Sutherland as he played the role so well, but it's important to look at it with a fresh eye. Of course you can't have an episode of 24 without an apparent mole in CTU and/or having people working behind their bosses back. The action was good and the hint of the terrorists plot introduced at the end leads to a nice play into the upcoming episode. Again it's going to be up to the next episodes to really see where the show is going to go, how the characters grow into their roles, and how it will fill the footsteps left by its predecessor.
