2/10
Confused....by this movie
15 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was passable up until the end. Honestly, the word "passable" is an overstatement. The characters had no depth to speak of. There were vague references and confusing references to their past lives. There were two, seemingly out-of-place, references to faith in God, which seemed forced. The plot not only had holes. It was made up of holes strung together by poor acting and so many awkward pauses my face is permanently cringing. To give this movie a 2/10 is a Christmas miracle, and it's not Christmas time. There was no character development, so the ending seemed abrupt and unnatural. Without some sort of impetus, there was nothing in this movie that led me to believe that Tiffany and Fergie would want to or could successfully continue their marriage. I'm all for "black love", but this was an absolutely ridiculous show of marital endurance. The writer/director/producer/casting guy/probably-only- person-who-thinks-this-movie-is-worth-watching Crosby Tatum should keep his day job.
