It's such a shame that this movie wasn't executed well! Suzy is a good actress and the story deserved better. As it was a real story ( I think), it binds to be a little difficult to handle, but it had some interesting points, like the one where the girl dressed as a boy in order to be able to attend the music school, or when she performed in front of the emperor. But, this film didn't presented the story in a way that it would be both entertaining and respectful towards the singer and her teacher. First of all, it didn't have a clear point of focus. It drifted from the girl to the master to the emperor and that was quite confusing. Then, the story line wasn't smooth, as it leaped through events and eventually managed to make the audience loose interest. And it's sad, because the performances were really good from all the actors. So, 2 out of 10.
