Lie down, we need to talk
7 September 2016
I'm glad that this is yet another decent German comedy, where they realised that neither just a witty premise nor good production values alone make enjoyable entertainment. It kind of all comes together here, and makes for not overly demanding entertainment, that's not overly dumb either.

Daniel has a cute girlfriend who doesn't want to commit. His unhinged buddy finds out an easy strategy for Daniel to meet other women (and for himself to get laid a lot): Go to psychotherapy workshops, pretend that you're either a zookeeper or a surgeon, and talk about your issues -- hey presto. Needless to say, and in stark contrast to reality, those "psycho chicks" are all total foxes with insatiable sex drives. Unfortunately, some of them are following a similar strategy so that the two BFFs soon find themselves in more than lukewarm water. After a good ride on this comedic train, Daniel finds true love and the movie becomes pretty trite from then on.
