I recently watched this movie. To be frank I am a bit surprised that this movie won so many awards and nominations. It is more like a documentary with a dull plot, than a movie. I sincerely appreciate the director's effort to show the state of the society, the bureaucracy involved everywhere, and realistic scenarios. Kudos to the actress for doing a great job.
The movie would have been much better if the ending was different. I don't expect a cinematic happy ending for such genre, but some kind of closure would have been appropriate.
There are a lot of unnecessary elements in the movie; for eg; the day after Charu goes to the contractor's home to confront him for not helping her, he goes to visit her at her apartment, he is accompanied by a group of seemingly thugs who apparently intimidate him from approaching the police.This particular scene is no way relevant to the movie plot.
All in all, it is an average movie with bad screenplay and editing, but a great documentary.
