As generic and forgettable as the first

Warning: Spoilers
"Einmal wird die Sonne wieder scheinen", which basically means that the sun will shine again one day, is a West German 95-minute movie from 1970, so this one is already over 45 years old and it is the second of three Heintje films from within 2 years, not counting his appearance in the Lümmel films. He was popular enough during that time, so that people today still know his name very well. Most probably don't know that he is originally from the Netherlands. This is a bit of a Scrooge story as it is about Heintje's relationship with his grandfather, a grumpy old man who is feared by many, but not really loved, maybe respected at best. But thanks to Heintje's kind appearance and background story, the man warms up to him and also more to the people around it. This is basically the story. Paul Dahlke plays the grandfather in here and he has a respectable body of work in his resumée. But unfortunately the script here is just too generic and weak, too much trying to be a tearjerker also with this whole orphan background, and the idea how they got rid off the man who takes care of Heintje was embarrassing to say the least. Tax fraud or something he committed and he has to go behind bars from one day to the next, so they could include Dahlke's character as a major player. Really weak film, I do not recommend the watch.
