Ten episodes in and we already have our second appearance from Captain Cold. That's okay, though, because A.) Anything is better than a freak of week baddie and, 2.) Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) is a lot of fun. He's joined here by Heat Wave, and together they take aim at The Flash. The latter is initially convinced by Dr. Ulterior Motive (AKA Dr. Wells) to let the police worry about the hot/cold duo and focus on getting faster so that he can be ready for the next appearance of Yellow Flash (AKA Reverse Flash).
The crux of the episode (or more accurately, Barry's lesson of the week) is that you can't selectively be a hero. Such things give each episode a nice little arc and provide a hero moment for our, well, hero. The relationship drama between Barry and Iris takes another step when Iris moves in with Eddie and the latter saves Barry's life. I like that Eddie is a good man because it would've been so easy to make him a sleazeball that we're rooting against. Here we want Barry and Iris together, but we want to see Eddie happy too.
Fun villain + solid story = another winner for 'The Flash'.
