Drowning (II) (2009)
4/10
Not a good watch

Warning: Spoilers
"Drowning" is an Australian 20-minute short film from 7 years ago and the fact that it is featured on "Boys on Film" already tells us that it is another gay-themed movie. Sadly, writer and director Craig Boreham, even if he tries so hard to convince us that his name is not true, tries so hard to make a difference in terms of story or characters, but the lack of talent in writing and in the two male lead actors is painfully visible. The script rarely makes any sense at all, the characters are very uninteresting and bland and I am not buying their little paradise at all. Tough to say if Szanto and Samuel was worse and I am pretty surprised to see they are having somewhat decent careers still. I can only hope they managed to improve a lot since 2009. Final note on Tess Haubrich, who looks stunning wearing almost nothing and makes this one almost a better watch for heterosexual audiences than gay audiences. The latter really need to stop appreciating every film about "them", no matter how weak the story is. This film here is another example. Noweher near a 7/10. DonÄt watch.
