Composing a Cult Classic: An Interview with Giorgio Moroder (2014)

*** (out of 4)

Composer Giorgio Moroder talks about how he had already worked with director Paul Schrader before the two teamed up on CAT PEOPLE. From here he talks about how Schrader wanted a very dark score for the picture and then the composer goes into nice detail about how he came up with the score.

Fans of CAT PEOPLE will enjoy hearing what stories are told within the short six minute running time. Like the rest of the featurettes on the Shout Factory disc, there's certainly nothing ground-breaking here but it's always nice when the companies go and give you these sorts of extras. Moroder tells some nice stories about not only the score but also the David Bowie song used in the picture.
