The Director's Chair (2014–2018)
10/10
If you are a fan of movies or an aspiring filmmaker, watch this!!!
28 February 2016
This show is like being able to sit down with your favorite director for an hour and ask them everything you could possibly imagine about their films and filmmaking. The directors they get on this show are incredible, from Francis Copolla to George Miller all the biggest names come on this show, and each episode is an incredible learning experience delving into the making of some of the greatest films ever made and truly inspirational. Though the directors that come on this show are fantastic and have great advice, Robert Rodriguez is the real life of the show, he has insight into filmmaking from micro budget to mega budget, and this experience allows him to talk to the directors on a personal level and ask incredible leading questions that reveal incredible answers without trying to fully control the narrative of the interview. To put it simply he's a master interviewer who doesn't ask stupid questions. I imagine if you were to binge watch every episode in order no matter how little experience you had you'd be so inspired that you would buy a camera the next day and start making films straight off.
