The Assassin (2015)

More Drama than Action, and I felt a miscommunication with the drama
1 December 2015
I'll be honest, with a name like The Assassin, I was expecting a movie that leaned more towards the action than it did the drama but that's not what happen.

Not that I'm not open minded, but I was expecting something I did not get and the movie did not deliver anything else to live up to that, or maybe I just could not grasp what was going on cause of how stretched out it was.

It's was only around 90 mins long, but it was so dull and so drawn out that it felt like I was sitting there for an eternity.

Normally, I would appreciate a foreign film that you did not need subtitles to understand, but there were too many times where the charters said nothing for long periods of time and I lost focus of what was going on.

The movie was beautiful, especially when it came to the costumes and the music, but I felt like I was watching a watered down Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Too slow in the pace and it made it pointless. Not for you if you prefer a Kung fu flick.
