I cam only emphatically recommend avoiding watching this movie if you've read 'The Secret Life of Mrs. Claus. The movie has morphed three amazingly wonderful and entertaining tales into on confusing drab movie. Sadly the best and funniest parts have been edited away. None of the characters bear any resemblance to Carly Alexander's delightful book. Maybe the movie is okay if one hasn't read the book, I couldn't say, being unable to unring that bell.
This book was written as three different tales, taking place in three different cities, three separate years. To do the book justice, this should have been done as three consecutive movies, so as not to ruin the individual stories. I so wanted to see The Nutcracker part played out and there's not one mention of that particularly entertaining portion of M's. Alexander's book.
