I can't believe they went and did that. A beloved character was killed this week, and they almost even managed to outdo said character's death from the comics in terms of shock value. Of course, maybe it was amplified by the fact that I would never have expected it since we're still a long way off from the spot where they died in the comics. It raises the question of who will take their place in that very important scene later in the comic. Perhaps, as people have theorized, it will be Daryl. Only time will tell. But I digress, I should talk about the rest of the episode.
Rick, Daryl, and Abraham try to redirect the horde after the horn. Michonne, Glenn, Nicholas, and several other Alexandrians hide in a town as the horde bears down on them. In this show, unnamed folks are often bit and then die. It's not really a big deal anymore. That's why I was impressed when they managed to make me actually care about one such character this week. But, I forgot all about my sadness for that one-off character when the big one rolled around. The very end of this episode reminded me of the end of the pilot.
