Grimmsberg (2011)
2/10
A complete failure

Warning: Spoilers
"Grimmsberg" is a mix of miniseries and short film from 11 minutes ago. The version I saw ran for roughly 45 minutes and not just for 37 as stated on the IMDb title page. It's a German production, apparently a student movie by Martin Busker and Fabian Hebestreit. And after what i just saw, I cannot believe these two are actually still having careers in the film industry. Then again, the same can be said about the actors in here who are all pretty bad, most of all lead actor Patrick Mölleken, who totally destroyed the few solid moments this film had. Apart from him, the biggest weakness is probably the script. They tried to make a fantasy movie and yet include comedy. This was done by random references about a character wearing his mother's clothes for example. Really lower than low.

The best way to describe these 45 minutes is as follows: Imagine the worst Buffy episode you can think of. Replace all the actors with amateurs. Use a male actor free of any talent instead of Sarah Michelle Gellar. And if you have done all this, then imagine it 10 times worse again. "Grimmsberg" is a mess from start to finish. And what's even worse, it acts as if it was dramatically relevant too, takes itself seriously all the time. Unreal stuff. And even worse, the ending sounded like there will be a sequel and there were actually the words "to be continued" on screen. Still, looking at how this is 4 years old already, I hope the Gods of Film will have mercy on us. Even this one should never have been made. Stay far far away.
