" . . . or maybe it was third -- I've never been very clear about the bases," Reese Witherspoon (as uptight San Antonio P.D. Officer Rose Cooper) reminds Sofia Vergara's drug Queenpin Daniella Riva. Since the film censors of the MPAA gave HOT PURSUIT its "PG-13" rating, it seems that these old guys are not very up-to-date on female geography, either. Apparently, Daniella plays for Pittsburgh, as she used the old "Pirate's Key" to check out Rose's lining. Which must have been quite an accomplishment, as Ms. Witherspoon reportedly shrunk from 5' 2" to 4' 9" during the filming of HOT PURSUIT. (At the rate that she's declining, future movie audiences will be playing "Where's Waldo" during any subsequent Witherspoon projects, so try to see her in IMAX whenever possible.) Just as we never learned if Reese ACTUALLY is "LEGALLY BLONDE," we don't really see many of Reese's Pieces in HOT PURSUIT. You will still need to check out WILD to see what it looks like when Witherspoons hike NAKED AND AFRAID.
