As the plot line above said, the father borrows the dol to a friend of his - played here by Paul Stewart. It seems rather the usual scheme, but beware. Just after the ransom has been delivered, all the gang is caught and placed under custody, but the suit case supposed to contain the bullion is full of clothes...The borrowed dol is missing. What's next? Suspicion is everywhere between cops, young man's family, officials, every one. Commissionner is on the spot, for real. A set up? Why, against who? One more crooked cop affair?
