This episode was a surprise in a good way.
It demystified the 2 masked vigilantes in a way that actually made their characters more complete.
I'm not a big comic-book fan and I always wonder how it's possible for such a totally different super or not heroes to co-exist and some times treated as equal. I mean there is an upcoming movie with Superman and Batman, but ...Superman is an extra-terrestrial with godlike powers and Batman is a ...rich guy with a cool costume! How is it possible these 2 guys to be "equal" partners or even more ...enemies? Superman can kill Batman in 1/100000 of a sec with myriad ways. And these marvel guys? A ...God from Valhalla and another ...rich guy with an armor? It is ridiculous.
Anyway. This episode was a miniature of that.

The writers tried to explore their struggle as much as possible. Things that had to be told were spoken, and a direct fight emerged.
I largely preferred this episode from any other. They pulled it through despite some necessary creative liberties. I hope they continue in the same fashion...
