"Things You Can't Outrun" is yet again a good episode from the Flash. It was entertaining to watch and executed the narrative in a special way.

Although a problem for the series starts to arise as more episodes begin to develop. The plot is lighthearted and overall fun to watch, however it seems to be the same thing over again but handled and executed differently with a new villain, new moral lesson, etc. In this case, I have to say it was handled well enough in the episode to earn my compliment and I hope it resumes for the following episodes and may it not lose it's quality. The episode explored on the character/s whom I've stared to gain interest on the past few episodes, Caitlin and Cisco. I believed that they were underdeveloped when the last few episodes aired and I am glad that this episode saved them. Caitlin's story being her fiancé dying on the accident that night was diligently told using flashbacks. Grant Gustin as the Flash/Barry Allen together with Jesse Martin as Detective Joe West both gave stellar performances and were one of the highlights of the episode. Detective Joe as a father figure to Barry and Iris was well thought and added to the humor and lighthearted scenes. The villain "The Mist" was perhaps mediocre but still enjoyable for the most part. The visuals that assisted the Mist in his show of superpowers is clearly the standout. The green clouds flying through the skies and heading towards the Flash were incredible and proves that the visuals are one of the highlights of the whole show so far. The climactic scenes in the episode were thrilling and nearly took me to the edge of my seat at certain times. As for the mystery surrounding Harrison Wells, much is needed to be revealed. Certain clues are hinted and foreshadowing are shown. However this trend of showing him at the end will easily become repetitive if shown at every episode.

Overall it was a good episode. If you are feeling down or feeling happy or whatever mood you are in, you will definitely like this episode. +With more development given for characters like Caitlin and Cisco, +The Flash/Barry Allen and Detective Joe together giving great performances, +Visuals becoming a highlight of the show, +thrilling climactic and action scenes, -A possible downfall and loss of quality of the show.
