The actor's style produces an absorbing, powerful and evocative story of two average guys-next-door, trying to discover new ways to relate to each after the disclosure. But, to the films immense credit, this is all dealt with in the guys natural stride - and in a surprisingly thoughtful and emotionally mature way.
