Go and see it but don't expect too much!

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a big Tyler Perry fan and watch his movies purely for entertainment so being pleasantly surprised is always a bonus. No bonuses with this one. I was entertained by the movie which has a cute and credible story line which requires that the focus not be solely on Madea and her antics. This is refreshing however I think there were areas where the storyline could have been flushed out more. I think some of the antics by Madea were just darn-right rude, unnecessary and boisterous (primarily the department store scenes) but at the same time I also liked how Madea showed her intuitive side and brought the warring factions together. Just a little over the top in some places, some jokes generated forced laughter and there was definitely a big opportunity lost to make a good story great. I've never been a big Anna Maria Horsford fan but she was okay in the role. Tika Sumpter is just stunning to look at throughout. JR Lemon... yummy! Can Shonda Rhimes get him on Scandal please!! I love love love Noah Urrea and look forward to watching his star rise. Go and see it but don't expect too much.
