The show keeps losing the way and finding it back again. This was one of the best episodes this season, after the disastrous last one.
From, the start this episode focuses on Shane's character. We have seen flashes of his weird side earlier but in this episode, during and after his sequences with poor Randall, do we really get to see how psychotic and deranged he is.
The moonlit prairie scene is probably the best-acted and most emotional scene of the season. Two men, polar opposites of one another confront each other. One is clam and calculated while the other is a rabid dog bent on vengeance. Yeah, it is Rick and Shane, and you will have to watch to find out who made it out of the duel.
Not to mention, this episode also reveals a startling, though implausible revelation about how one can become a walker.
